Africa Day
Communities across the island have been celebrating the second annual Jersey channel island's Africa day.
The day celebrates and brings together the local residents who originally come from countries in Africa. It also marks other cultural and business links that the island has developed with the continent over the decades.
Daisy Ogesa moved from a town just outside Nairobi in Kenya to Jersey ten years ago. She came to be with her mother, who has been working as a chef on the island, after her father passed away at home. She now works in a financial services company.
Our reporter, Olivia Le Poidevin, begun by asking how challenging it was to move from thousands of miles away to the island...
