Writer and historian Anthea's young friend Veronica was diagnosed with a rare eye condition when she was a teenager, and by the time she was twenty two she had lost her sight. This disability has made it difficult for the thirty two year old graduate to get a full-time job and make the close friendships she craves. But as compensation she shares a passion for local history with Anthea, who has taken her under her families wing, and together they have written an oral history book about the Dentdale valley. . . .
