Visitors to Wicksteed Park in Kettering say the planned closure of the Pirate Ship ride is "a sad shame".
The theme park wants people to apply for the chance to be among the last to experience the iconic attraction.
It was installed at the park back in 1982 and has since become a firm favourite with visitors.
But it'll be replaced at the end of this season.
