'They don’t have a lot of passion for soccer' in the US
Former Italy defender Alessandro Nesta believes there's a lack of "passion" in the United States for football.
Nesta's taken charge of Miami FC in the second tier of football in the US and has created open trials for local players to try to secure contracts at the club.
He admits however that other sports take priority in the country for children:
"You are looking for players with passion (for football), here it is different. In my country passion with sport, it is inside us. Here it is different. They come from college and in college they play basketball, baseball everything."
