The Chandra X-ray Observatory – named after the astrophysicist and Nobel laureate Chandrasekhar – is launched to scan the universe for the next five years for violent cosmic events. The forecast at the start of the hurricane season for the Caribbean. As the world population has reached six billion, how difficult is it to measure population figures on this scale?
