Police pick up award for stop and search
Police in Northamptonshire have picked up an international award for their new stop and search process. The force introduced a panel made up of community members and the police which collectively scrutinises the reasons for every stop search in Northamptonshire.Officers who have not used the stop and search powers correctly will have them taken away and be put on a training plan before they can use them again.The work has won the force the Daniel Wagman International Award for police management of social diversity.
