Search for 'gunfire' evidence after burglary victim gives chase

Police are investigating allegations of gunfire after the victim of an aggravated burglary chased the suspects in his car.

Shots were apparently fired on Hawthorn Drive in Ipswich last night, after the victim and suspects' vehicles crashed near the Bridgwater Road junction.

Three men had earlier forced their way into a house on Manchester Road, demanding money and threatening the occupants with a handgun.

Hawthorn Drive has been closed while police search for evidence.
