BT quotes 拢22,500 for home phone line
BT has quoted a Suffolk woman more than 拢22,500 to install a landline at her home.
Jenny Stephen had expected her property to be connected to a telegraph pole visible from her window, at a holiday village in Corton.
Mrs Stephen, who has been trying to get the line installed since she moved in 18 months ago, said she "can't get any sense out of anybody".
BT said it would need to lay 400m (1,312ft) of underground cables, which is a "huge" civil engineering task.
