Man jailed for 'vicious attack'
A man has been sentenced to seven years in prison following a "vicious" and unprovoked attack on a 78-year-old man, police say.
Shane Gull, 41, from Bull Road, punched his victim in the head and then kicked him 18 times after he fell to the floor.
The man sustained a laceration to his head, swelling and bruising to his face, and badly bruised hands in the attack which took place last March.
Police say Gull showed "no remorse whatsoever" when shown photographs of the victim's injuries.
