Ivory Coast winger Max Gradel says the criticism that his team-mate Yaya Toure receives is unfair

Toure could win the CAF African Footballer of the Year award for an unprecedented fifth time in a row on Thursday night.

This week Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini was forced to defend Toure after criticism about his recent performances from pundits, fans and the media.

Gradel believes Toure's critics are getting it wrong.
