Day-night tests and pink balls: A new era for cricket?
The first ever day-night Test match starts this week, with Australia taking on New Zealand in the third Test in Adelaide.
The use of floodlights means a pink ball will be used in a Test for the first time, with the later start time designed to encourage bigger attendances.
"You can't play with a red ball under lights," said John Stevenson, head of cricket at the Marylebone Cricket Club.
"Bounce, hardness, all those properties are identical," said Brett Elliot, managing director of Kookaburra.
