Sharon says it was a coup-de-foudre when she met her ex-husband John in the 1970s. After 24 years together and three children, Sharon filed for divorce due to John's alcohol problems. However, they remained close and he lived up the road from her and the children. Then, while Sharon herself was dealing with breast cancer, John suffered a heart attack and died. Sharon's life has moved on, but she feels she needs to 'unmarry' John. During her conversation Sharon tells him that, eleven years on, she wants to move on - and needs him to let her go.
