Markus Rehm: The Blade Jumper

Markus Rehm, a below the knee amputee, took gold in the long jump at the IPC Athletics World Championships with a world record leap of 8.40 metres. That would have been enough to have won gold at the 2012 Olympics.

However, the German athletics Federation have said he will NOT be selected for the Rio Olympics, despite also producing the longest jump at the national championships over the past two years.

So does his single leg prosthesis give him an advantage, or does it hinder him? The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's Ade Adedoyin has been finding out.
