Writer Ann Walmsley's prison book club
The Canadian writer Ann Walmsley was mugged by two men one evening in London in 2002. The attack had a dramatic effect on her. As part of the process of coming to terms with what had happened to her, she agreed to take part in a book club in a Canadian prison. She has now written a memoir, called The Prison Book Club, about her visits to the prison in Kingston, Ontario.
