'Family portraits' of East London pubs
Many of East London's original 'public houses' no longer exist - roughly 30 a week are forced to shut their doors. Some manage to avoid closure by reinventing themselves as gastropubs or hip entertainment venues. Photographer Jan Klos, originally from Poland, was fascinated by his adopted country's traditional pub-going culture. He pays homage with a series of striking portraits of some of East London's beloved watering holes.
