John McCarthy visits Hebron to investigate the historical accuracy of the Bible
The Bible was one of the first books given to John McCarthy by his captors, Islamic militants in 1980s Beirut. From it he took great solace and now investigates its accuracy and value. In this episode he reflects on Genesis and the figure of Abraham or Ibrahim.
Interviews include with Professor John Barton, Professor Michael Goulder, author Karen Armstrong, spokespersons Yehudit Tayar and David Wilder and journalist Khalid Amayreh.
