One of world's oldest Korans goes on view in Birmingham

One of the oldest Koran manuscripts in the world has gone on view to the public. Dating back over thirteen hundred years, the pages were found at the University of Birmingham, the fragments have been in the city since the 1930s.

It is not certain where the manuscript would have come from originally, but academics say it may have been created in the area to the west of the Arabian Peninsula, which includes the Islamic sacred cities of Mecca and Medina.

Our reporter Ruchi Tandon got a sneak preview of this historic find before the doors opened
