‘Crying Shame’: A Rapper’s Lament for Syria
While a student at the University of Virginia, Syrian American hip-hop artist Omar Offendum realised that his music could be a tool. Now the focus of his lyrics is to remind people that beneath all the ‘political posturing and proxy wars’, there’s still real human suffering that has to be addressed.
