International Adoption
Julia talks about adopting her children Iris, Hazel, Ivy and Ike from China and Vietnam
"I was living and working in China... and when I visited the far north-west, several women asked me if I could take their children home with me.
"I had no intention of having children, but I thought if I ever did want children I would go back to China and adopt some of the unwanted girls, rather than give birth to my own children."
Julia is a Canadian mother of four. When she was in her late twenties Julia decided that she wanted a baby, but not one that she would give birth to. Julia describes her journey to motherhood through adoption.
