The floating gardens of Inle Lake
Myanmar’s Inle Lake covers 116 square km (45 square miles).
Local people, the Intha, live in areas bordering the lake and some live in stilted houses on the lake itself.
Crops including tomatoes, beans and aubergine (eggplant) are grown in floating gardens and fisherman use their legs to paddle their boats.
