Hanging from a helicopter for that perfect shot
British photographer Tommy Clarke saved up some money, found a willing pilot, took a deep breath and then hung out of a helicopter to get the best possible aerial shots of where the waves hit the shore. In his distinctive ocean photos, the seas glisten green and blue but the colours that feature in his most recent work - the salt flats of California and Utah - are right at the other end of the spectrum: reds, oranges, pinks and ochres bring to mind a devilish Rothko canvas.
