Tree of Codes is a contemporary ballet choreographed by Stockport-born Wayne McGregor; Eno meets up with McGregor, who has joined forces for this production with musician Jamie xx and Danish-Icelandic visual artist Olafur Eliasson. It was inspired by the experimental novel-artwork of the same name by American author Jonathan Safran Foer, who employed a cut-up technique similar to that used by William Burroughs.

Manchester International Festival hosts the world premi猫re of The Immortal, a new work for orchestra and chorus by one of Britain鈥檚 brightest young composers, Mark Simpson. Inspired by John Gray鈥檚 book, The Immortalization Commission, Simpson鈥檚 work explores the obsession with death that lies at the heart of the human experience. Eno talks to Simpson about the creative process behind the work.

Eno also meets chef Mary-Ellen McTague, who has created High Tea in Wonderland, a surreal culinary and visual experience at the Manchester Museum based on the tales of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
