Chris Leslie: 'We want to be a more thoughtful opposition'
Tough decisions needed to be taken on welfare reforms, shadow chancellor Chris Leslie accepts.
Responding to Wednesday's budget, he told Today Labour wants to be "a more thoughtful opposition."
Mr Leslie criticised the government for failing to clamp down on fraud in the tax credit system.
"Big welfare reform is [needed] on the overpayments, the errors, the fraud that is in the system because they're not checking at the point of application."
