Halal BBQ: It鈥檚 What鈥檚 For Iftar
Texas native Robert West used to lament that many of his Muslim friends, even those who had spent most or all of their lives in the Lone Star state, had never tried real Texas-style smoked barbecue. So he and a friend, Jason Bones, opened up a food business called 鈥楥hopped n Smoked鈥, which bills itself as 鈥榓uthentic halal Texas BBQ鈥. Now, with the holy month of Ramadan underway, the two men are busy serving up a deliciously unique end-of-the-day meal for iftar.
