Greece Debt Deadline Looms
A Nobel laureate decries Europe's policies, a German MP defends them, and we present an exclusive fly-on-the-wall recording of what they are really saying at the debt talks.
As eurozone finance ministers gather in Brussels this afternoon, we ask if any of them are even really talking anymore about keeping Greece within the euro?
Professor Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel prize-winning economist, has a view on the crisis, saying that Brussels' and the IMF's entire five-year austerity plan is at fault for the mess they find themselves in. Meanwhile Ralph Brinkhaus, an MP for Germany's ruling CDU party says the entire blame lies with the Greeks and their failure to implement sufficient reform.
Also, we present our own dramatised fly-on-the-wall depiction of what they are really saying at those all-important debt talks. And, our correspondent at the Paris Air Show, Theo Leggett, calls into question some of the glamorous assumptions people may have about what it is really like at the world's premier avaition event.
