We started off a busy week of sessions with a visit from The Vaccines, who played us two tracks from new album, English Graffiti, and spoke about finding a sound so ‘now’ it might sound terrible in ten years. Fort Worth crooner, Leon Bridges, brought his soul revival sound to the kitchenette, and mesmerised us all with two beautiful renditions of tracks from Coming ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, the debut album. He talked about getting his big break over a chance meeting with White Denim’s Austin Jenkins (who now performs in his band). Best Coast talked us through a day in the life of the LA band (spoiler: it involves a lot of ‘chilling’), and livened up our very British day with a taste of their California Nights. Finally, Chris Hewitt reviewed Disney’s latest effort, Tomorrowland, the Poltergeist remake, and A Girl Walks ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Alone at Night.
