Why we fork out when we use heavy cutlery
Professor Charles Spence has coined the term "gastrophysics" to describe the various factors that affect the way we taste.
He has told Today that anything from the lighting in the room to the shape of the plate can change the way a dish tastes.
For instance, "people pay more for exactly the same food when given heavier cutlery".
