Denis Onyango was just 10 years old when he left school to work in an illegal gold mine in eastern Uganda. Over the years there's been something of a gold rush in the area, with local people giving up their jobs in farming to become miners. But the authorities have struggled to keep pace with the influx and illegal mining operations have flourished.
