Senior Vice President of Replay and Referee Operations at the National Basketball Association, Joe Borgia, explains how technology is used to help officials.

Speaking to Hugh Ferris, Borgia explains the system in place to avoid long breaks in play which would break the "flow" of Basketball.

And while he understands that "every sport has people who're sceptical of changes and technology" he argues that it "just doesn't make sense" that everyone at the game can check their cellphones to see if a basket should or shouldn't have counted but that referees shouldn't be allowed the same help.
