Tiger and Rory: Changing of the guard

Former European Ryder Cup golfer Niclas Fasth assesses Woods' decision to compete at the Masters and whether McIlroy can fill the void left by the fourteen time major winner.

The Swede told John Bennett that Golf "needs Woods" and that the American's decision to compete was brave because "there's no preparation like playing tournaments, I'm sure he's fit and well but it's very uncertain what his form is like."

Fasth said "Mcilroy could be the star for a decade or more" but that "Tiger has made golf a bigger sport" and professional golfers have "all made more money because of tiger".
