Graeme Swann says England’s One Day cricket side lack a clear strategy, and has labelled the decision to change their batting line-up on the morning of their opening World Cup pool match against Australia as 'crazy.'

England have been heavily beaten in both of their games against co-hosts Australia and New Zealand and go into their next match against Scotland under pressure if they're to reach the quarter finals.

"England changed their batting line on the morning of the World Cup against Australia. Gary Ballance is suddenly brought back in, James Taylor is thrown down to number six and Ravi Bopara is taken out of the squad. That is crazy in my book," said the former England spinner.

"It's muddled, it's not clear. Eoin Morgan wants to play a very expressive, agreesive form of cricket. I'm not sure Peter Moores completely agrees with that and I don't know how easily that relationship is going to fare. They were like rabbits in the headlights against New Zealand. The disparity between the sides was enormous."

"Inevitably if they don't get to the quarter finals questions will be asked but I'd rather focus on that fact if they actually play well in the next four games - beat Sri Lanka, destroy Scotland - if they do this all the angry emotion of these commentators will disappear and people will say 'ah good they are learning, we will get behind this England team."

"I'm not going to jump on a bandwagon and say Moores must go if they don't reach the quarter finals."
