Claire Boswell's ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing session

The Worcester singer/songwriter performs an exclusive session for ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Hereford & Worcester.

Singing since she could talk and songwriting since the tender age of eleven, her haunting - yet soulful, melodic voice combined with her easy-on-the eye looks fuels a powerful and confident performance.

Her natural talent and songwriting abilities evokes the long lost aura from the not so distant past, with subtle vocal and technical expertise reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris and Joan Baez.

With a range of influences as diverse as The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Chickenshack to Glen Miller, it was only when she discovered the folk-rock scene of Crosby, Stills and Nash, America, Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Neil Young that she felt something was lacking in her music and by thirteen had taught herself to play guitar.

This was a small but progressive step in developing her distinctive and timeless sound.

She went on to study music at college, fine-tuning her performance skills at open mic sessions across Worcestershire.

Her innovative solo performances steadily gained her a reputation, resulting in gigs, festivals and various radio performances across the country.

Nowadays Claire’s work gains increasing attention, working with other musicians including prog-rockers Da Vinci, for their rock opera: ‘Razor Blade World’ which aired in August 2009.
