You might be surprised to learn that the most famous Thierry involved with a hand ball is not Thierry Henry. It is in fact Thierry Omeyer. The French handball goalkeeper has been telling us about how the sport is poised to grow as big as rugby, and maybe even football, in France and other parts of Europe. The World Handball Championships are currently taking place in Qatar, and France are looking to retain their World champion status to add to the European and Olympic titles they have already retained in the last two years.
