Thornberry: Being called snob over tweet was 'upsetting'
Labour MP Emily Thornberry says being called a "snob" over a controversial tweet she sent on the day of the Rochester by-election was "upsetting".
The Labour MP resigned from her shadow cabinet post in November after sending the tweet - which showed a terraced house covered in England flags and a white van parked outside.
Labour leader Ed Miliband said that the tweet "conveyed disrespect".
But Ms Thornberry said the house "looked like the house I was brought up in" and she had "never forgotten" where she came from.
