Kate and Rachel: Limestone Beneath My Feet And Above My Head.
Two friends both share a fascination for potholing, but from very different perspectives. Kate caught polio as a child, and she has to be careful about the ground she walks on, because she's unsteady on her feet. This experience has formed her poetry, and drawn her to theatre director Rachel, who enjoys the demanding challenge of caving and fell running. But in Kate's imagination it remains a bitter-sweet fantasy, because squeezing through rock passages in the cold and wet, is something she will never be able to do.
