Leipzig's Peaceful Protests
In October 1989, a growing frustration with the East German communist regime led to mass protests every Monday in the city of Leipzig. At one point, more than 100,000 people took part in the peaceful demonstrations.
The pressure of these protests led to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Martin Jankowski was one of those protestors.
