MPs vote for UK military action against Islamic State
5 live's political correspondent, John Pienaar, was at the house of commons as MPs backed UK air strikes against Islamic State militants in Iraq by 524 votes to 43.
He was joined by Labour MP Graham Allen, Conservative MP Rory Stewart and former Liberal Democrat party leader, Sir Menzies Campbell.
The Conservatives, Lib Dems and Labour all backed air strikes although some MPs expressed concerns about where it would lead and the prospect of future engagement in Syria.
Mr Pienaar thinks that air strikes in Iraq may start as early as tomorrow. This clip is originally from 5 live politics on Friday September 26 2014.
