More than just a mother: Sheila and Helen
Friends Sheila and Helen talk about life without children and the positives of being able to hand them back at the end of the day.
Though both wanted children with their partners and endured years of fertility treatment along the way, medical complications meant neither conceived. Coming to terms with that took years of pain and soul searching, but they came out the other end with a thirst for new experiences and laughter, which was when they met each other and became firm friends.
Now in their fifties, Sheila and Helen talk about how they refuse to be defined by the fact they never had children...and where they should go on holiday next.
