Fall in number of black senior managers
In five years the number of black people in senior management has fallen by over 20,000, and only one in 16 top management positions are held by BAME people, despite the fact that one in 10 people in employment are BAME.
That’s according to new research by the organisation Race for Opportunity that’s calling for a government review into racial barriers in the workplace. They also want two words ‘and race’ to be added to the UK Corporate Governance Code.
So what kind of steps might help to address the issues raised in the Race at the Top report? One of the firms mentioned in the report is Price Waterhouse Coopers.
