The Clash of Generations
World leaders meet international students at the 44th St Gallen Symposium to discuss the clash of generations.
Every May for the past 44 years students at St Gallen University in Switzerland have organised a unique symposium where global leaders mix with students from all over the world. Each year the focus is on a topical subject. This year it is The Clash of Generations. Are the ‘baby boomers’ becoming richer at the expense of young people, many of whom feel excluded and are highly critical of their elders? Peter Day hears the thoughts of some of them.
