What does Modi signify for 21st century India?
After weeks of election drama in the world's largest democracy India now has a new Prime Minister.
Narendra Modi secured the most decisive election victory in India for three decades, after leading the Hindu nationalist BJP party to a landslide win.
But there are claims he did little to stop communal riots in Gujarat in 2002 in which at least 1,000 people died, most of them Muslims, and there are questions around what this win means for India's minorities.
His supporters say he is the key to economic growth in India and tackling the country's financial woes.
So what does this win signify for 21st century India and the diaspora here in the UK?
