Consumer Team's Martin Lewis has given tips on the best way to encrypt and remember your own password, which includes using different capital letters in the same word and a variation of numbers.
The online marketplace eBay has become the latest major internet retailer to fall victim to a cyber-attack. It's called on users to change their passwords after admitting it was hacked between late February and early March this year.
The company says the database affected included customers' names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth. It says there's currently no evidence of unauthorised activity on customers' accounts and PayPal, which it also owns, has not been affected.
