Mods and Rockers
In May 1964, rival gangs of youths clashed in the English seaside resort of Brighton on Bank Holiday weekend.
More than 1000 Mods and Rockers fought each other on Brighton beach, in scenes which were later immortalised in the cult film, Quadrophenia.
Alfredo Marcantonio, a former Mod, recalls the weekend's events.
