George Porter, Jr. speaks to Craig Charles

Legendary bassist in The Meters George Porter, Jr. joins Craig Charles in the studio.

In the mid 1960s he came to be recognized as one of the progenitors of funk. He's a busy guy, as he has his own group the Runnin' Pardners, and also other projects such as The Trio with Johnny Vidacovich, New Orleans Social Club, Deep Fried and Porter Batiste Stoltz.

He speaks about working with Art Neville and how he ended up playing cowbell on a Paul McCartney record!
