Italy Veneto
How the family-owned businesses in Italy's Veneto region are reaching out to the rest of the world despite the economic turmoil at home.
Veneto in northern Italy is a region just north of Venice and was largely agricultural until after World War II. In the past 30 years or so Veneto has seen the creation of many small family-owned businesses who have found export markets outside Italy. In the past few years they have struggled with the country鈥檚 economic and political crises, but lots are still hanging on. Peter Day talks to some of them and asks how the have survived.
