Official site for scattering ashes on the River Soar
A stretch of the River Soar in Leicester has now been officially designated as a site from where people can scatter the ashes of their loved ones.
Last year it was revealed that Leicester City Council was prepared to respond to public demand by embarking on a search for a suitable waterside site for the ritual observed by a number of faiths including Hindus, Sikhs and Jains.
