Zoe's story, told by Olivia Colman

Talented and sporty Kieran, 14, was on a school skiing trip to France in February 2011 when his backpack and clothing were caught on the ski lift. He was airlifted to hospital and his family flew to be at his bedside but he did not recover from his injuries.

A volunteer counsellor from the Balloons project in Exeter supported his sister Zoe, now 11, and by virtue of that, the rest of the family. A grant of £99,423 from ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Children in Need over three years pays for a full time Family Worker who trains those volunteers.

Between them they are working with 320 children aged between three and 18 but there's a two to 10-week waiting list for young people to see a counsellor.
