Call for more Asian foster parents
The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's been told most Asians don't understand what fostering means and a leading charity believes this could be one of the reasons they don't put themselves forward to be carers.
A recent survey carried out by Action for Children found 78% of Asians didn't know what fostering was, compared to 14% of the general population. There's a huge shortage of Asian foster carers in the UK and the charity believes dispelling myths around fostering could help more people consider it.
