Turkey and Australia
James Reynolds explores the varied motives of protesters in Istanbul's Gezi Park; Phil Mercer dices with danger meeting the Northern Territory's saltwater crocodiles in Darwin
What really motivated the protests in Istanbul? James Reynolds lives in Istanbul and this week he's been speaking to people on all points of Turkey's political spectrum - from those who still staunchly back Prime Minister Erdogan, to those who fear and reject everything which his AK Party stands for. Even among the people protesting in Gezi Park, there is a huge variety of causes and ideals.
Why are "salties" so dangerous? On the other side of the world, Phil Mercer dices with danger - meeting some of the Northern Territory's saltwater crocodiles in Darwin. The juvenile specimens he handled were safely taped up - but it can be a very different story for local people, who find their homes and gardens invaded by aggressive and territorial adult salties.
