Don't worship any idols
Keeping the tenets of a religion can lead to difficult dilemmas. An artist named Michael Browne talks about his work from 1997, Art of the Game, which depicts Eric Cantona as Jesus. He explains how he was criticised for painting a picture depicting a football player as God. Is this insulting religion? Is using religious allegory in art the same as idolatry? The artist gives his personal views on the subject.
